How to Make Use of Movies to Help English Majors' Watching,Listening and Speaking Teaching in the Independent Institute

对于独立学院学习语言的学生来说,除了打好基础、练就扎实的基本功之外,还应该尽量为他们创造学习语言的母语环境。目前,要想获得英语的母语氛围很困难、也很有限。但是,如果教师能够充分利用现有的英美电影的有声资料,积极努力地去帮助学生创造英语的母语氛围,那么不仅是视听说课,其他的如精读课、文学课,甚至写作课都可以借助英美影视等有声资料来辅助英语专业知识的拓展。

It is very important to build up a good foundation for the English major students in the independent institute, but how to get ,and create a native - speaking environment is influential. However, it is rather difficult to make it nowadays in China, That＇s not to say that there is no way to succeed it. All the teachers should attempt to make full use of the movies from GB and USA to help their students to get this kind of situation. And this method will be fit not only for listening and speaking, but also for intensive reading, literature, writing and so on. The main point is that it can help the students to broaden their knowledge and develop their interest in the process of English learning.
