新疆城市雕塑发展滞后,是一个不可回避的现实问题。可喜的是随着西部大开发迅猛发展,情况有所改观。从上个世纪80年代末90年代初期开始的新疆城市雕塑发展也呈现出了特有的地域风貌。在目前城市雕塑发展进程中,我们在继承优秀传统的同时还应该注意深刻理解民族性、时代性、地域性、融合性和环境生态性问题。

From the end of 1980s to the early of 1990s, the urban sculpture in Xinjiang showed regional features of Xinjiang During the course of the development of urban sculpture, we should understand the features of ethnics, times, region, fusion and zoology.
