Clinical implications of the relative volume index of transplanted kidney

摘要 为研究移植肾相对大小与肾功能恢复快慢之间的关系,对106例肾移植资料进行回顾分析。计算移植肾相对体积指数(R),将R值和肾功能恢复至正常所需时间(D1)作相关性研究。结果表明,当3<R≤9时,R和D1呈显著的负相关,相关系数为-0.99(P<0.001)。上述结果说明,在一定范围内,移植肾相对体积越大,则术后肾功能恢复正常越快,反之,则越慢。认为R值可供选取供、受者时参考,并且对鉴别诊断和预后判断有一定的参考价值。 In order to explore the relationship between the relative size of transplanted kidney and the days for serum creatine level decreasing to normal (D1), the data of 106 cases of renal transplantation were retrospectively analyzed. The study on the relationship between the calculated relative volume index (R) and D1 was performed. The results showed that, for 3<R≤9, R was significantly negatively related to D1, with the coefficient of correlation being -0.99 (P<0.001). It indicated that, to a certain extent, the larger the relative size of transplanted kidney, the faster the kidney function recovery.It was believed that R value might be served as a reference for the selection of donor and recipient. What is more, R value would be useful in the differentail diagnosis and prognosis evaluation.
