大学英语教师科研素质极不乐观。大多数处于无时间读书、无专业、无科研的"三无"状态。大学英语教师要具备哲学、教育学、心理学扎实的基础,提高创新能力和良好的心理品质,拓宽培养大学英语教师素质的途径、方法。提高自己人文素养、克服科研的神秘感和畏难情绪,强化终身发展意识。

The quality for scientific research of college English teachers is not very optimistic. Most of them have no time to read books, no exact research fields and no scientific research achievements. College English teachers shall possess rich knowledge of philosophy, education and psychology, have good psychological quality, promote their innovative ability, broaden the paths and methods for fostering their cultural quality, overcome their sense of mystery and fear of difficulty in scientific research, and strengthen their consciousness of lifelong development.
