The author gives a review on the general developments of glass fiber industry in the 30 years of reform and opening up, the promotion of the industry by the reform and opening-up policy, the technical growth of the industry itself, the products, applications and main markets of glass fibers as well as efforts to be preferably made to ensure the healthy growth of the industry.
