In 1953 when the war ended,there was nearly no paper industry in the South Korea.After a period of hard recovery,in 1980's the paper and board production development was very quick.The production reached 6 8 million tons in 1995,ranked in 9th in the world.The main problems in further development of South Korea's paper industry__the fiber resource and market,and the countermeasures to solve them are described in this paper.
