The paper introduces the utility scopes, material requirements, the construction craft, key points of quality control and matters needing attention for construction of the Ⅲ -class and Ⅳ-class surrounding rock in the No. 2 tunnel of SDⅢ Dayaoshan along the newly-built Wuhan-Guangzhou special railway and accumulates experience for the smooth blasting construction of the surrounding rocks.
