长期以来,城市农民工为中国经济发展发挥了重要的作用,却一直享受不公平的待遇,基本公共服务水平的严重短缺,已经成为了阻碍农民进入城市的一个主要障碍。只有实现城市农民工基本公共服务均等化,才能加快农民工从"农民"向"市民"的转变。从就业、教育、医疗、保险和住房方面入手,可对农民工的基本公共服务现状有所改进。
