近年来,非洲以其丰富的石油储量和独特的地缘政治优势,正逐步成为全球石油勘探活动最活跃的一个新区。9.11事件之后为了减轻对中东石油的依赖,确保本国能源安全,美国积极推进能源多元化战略,并开始重视和抢占非洲石油资源。中非能源合作已经有十几年的历史,非洲是中国实施能源多元化战略的一个重点区域。在中国开拓非洲石油市场的过程中,必定会与对世界所有能源产地都有独占之心且正大力挺进非洲能源领域的美国迎面相撞,中美在非洲能源领域的竞争是一个无法回避的事实。

Over the past few years, Africa, with the advantages in soil reserve and geopolitics, has become a new site for world oil explorations. The US, after the 9/11 attacks, has promoted a diversified energy strategy to maintain its energy security, aiming at taking full advantage of the African oil resources instead of depending heavily on the Middle East. Meanwhile, it has been over a decade since the Sino - African oil cooperation and Africa is one of the important areas where China carries out its diversified energy strategy. China, in the exploitation of the African oil market, will certainly encounter its American counterpart which is pushing forward to occupy the African re- serves and which is even ambitious to take the exclusive share of the world resource producing areas. The Sino - American competition for energy in Africa is inevitable.
