Mopi exists as a class in the Hani ethnic society, with a strong cultural feature because of its social functions established during the long course of historical and social development. In the Hani society, cultural inheritance was passed down via instructions by words and action, in which Mopi played the dominant role. Moreover, Mopi, as a class of Hani intellectuals, is very important in both histarieal development and in real life. It has made great contributions to the inheritance, creation, protect and dissemination of the Hani ethnic culture.
