意象派是20世纪初最早出现的现代诗歌流派,是中西方文化交流与对话在诗歌上的一个重要表征。英美意象派诗歌与中国古典诗歌有极其相似的理论基础,在创作风格、语言运用方面英美意象派学习和模仿中国古典诗歌,意象派诗人们以一种全新的诗歌理论和创作实践,开启了一条新英美的现代诗歌之路。

The imagist is the first modern poetry school at the early 20th century, and it is the important representation of cultural communication and dialogue on poetry between Europe and China. The imagist poetry and Chinese classical poetry have the similar theoretical basis, but the former learns and imitates the latter on the writing style and diction.
