从戴维.洛奇小说《小世界》的副标题"学者罗曼司"切入,探究其外借罗曼司之壳、实反"罗曼司"的独特叙事方式。书中的"圣杯",已丧失了原有的神圣与纯洁;书中的主人公女骑士,表现出的是虚伪和功利;小说的结尾也与罗曼司圆满的结尾相悖,是一个开放性的结局。

Many scholars have tried to interpret Small World by David Lodge from different aspects such as intertextualite, parody, carnival, dialogic theory and so on since it was translated and introduced into China. This essay probes into its real purpose of particular narration with the shell of romance from the sub - title “An Academic Romance” in order to dig the “anti -romance” elements in the text. The author attempts to support the idea of “anti -romance” from the motif - “grail” quest, hero and heroine including female knights and the open ending.
