摘要
笔者对湖州市英语公示语中存在的问题进行了归纳和分析,并提出了相应的修改意见;还指出了英语公示语翻译中容易出现的问题以及解决这些问题的对策,用以抛砖引玉,希望能引起相关部门的重视。
This paper generalizes certain typical problems in the public signs translation of Huzhou city and analyzes the reasons behind these problems, on the basis of which, it suggests some solutions. It is hoped that it will call for more serious attention to the matter as it would reflect on the international image of Huzhou city.
