Jiang Liangfu and Research of Chu Dialect

楚语,是楚辞文学作品最重要的特征之一,它和楚声、楚地、楚物共同形成了"楚辞属楚"的这一鲜明的地方特色,因而,研究楚辞中的楚语,是楚辞研究中的十分重要的课题。但楚辞中的楚语研究是四者中最薄弱的环节。东汉王逸及宋代洪兴祖为后代的"楚语"研究奠定了基础。此后,"楚语"研究长期停滞不前,直到20世纪初才出现了第一部研究《楚辞》中之"楚语"的专著。姜老采用科学的研究方法,与他深厚的学术根基两方面相结合,为20世纪楚语研究做出了超越前人的独特贡献。

Chu dialect, though is a part as important as Chu sound, land and materials in Chu Ci literature, is the weakest link in the research of Chu Ci. Wang Yi in the East Han Dynasty and Hong Xingzhu in the Song Dynasty laid a foundation of later research of Chu dialect. Hereafter, Chu dialect study had not achieved progress for a long time until early 21st century when the first monograph about Chu dialect in Chu Ci was published. By adopting a scientific method combined with his profound academic groundwork, Jiang Liangfu made unprecedented special achievement on Chu dialect study in the 20th century.
