The relations among the dosage of potassium permanganate, other affecting factors and the concentration of chloroform produced in drinking water were studied by replacing chlorinating with potassium permanganate oxygenation. The experiment results showed that,the concentration of chloroform infinished water could be reduced significantly with this method.
