The characteristics of Platanus acerifolia and its planting history were introduced.The features of P.acerifolia in the urban environmental virescence of Zhengzhou and the citizen＇s affection were analyzed.The meaning and role of taking P.acerifolia as the city tree of Zhengzhou were discussed.
