Just as Westerners celebrate Christmas and the New Year, Chinese celebrate the Spring Festival （Chinese New Year）. In fact, the Spring Festival is China＇s most important holiday. Although customs have always differed between the north and south, urban and rural areas and the older and younger generations, the Spring Festival has traditionally been an opportunity for family reunions and thanksgiving.
西方人习惯以浓郁的圣诞气氛迎接新年，而每逢农历年末，中国人也会忙碌起来，准备辞旧迎新，热热闹闹过春节。春节是中国最传统、最重要的节日，其庆祝方式、习俗在南北方有所差异，因地域、年代不尽相同，但必是家人团聚、感恩祈福的时刻。
