The Problems in College English Instruction and Strategies for Its Improvement——Based on a Perspective of Integrating IT into Curriculum

我国大学英语教学存在着"费时低效"的问题,不能适应经济全球化对大学毕业生英语技能的要求。信息技术与大学英语课程整合是改进大学英语教学的一项有效策略,信息技术的整合运用不仅能改变传统保守的教学方式,同时也能提高大学英语教学的效率。

The problems with College English instruction in universities and colleges of China's Mainland has been criticized and identified as ＂inefficient and time-consuming＂, which fails to fit in with the English language competence requirements for university graduates as demanded by the globalization of world economy. The integration of IT into College English course is an effective strategy for the improvement of College English instruction. The integration and utilization of IT into College English instruction not only changes the traditional, conservative mode of College English instruction, but also raises the efficiency of College English instruction.
