Another Road to Anti-Imperialism:On the Jiang Ting-fu's Kishen Studies

蒋廷黻的琦善研究以中外档案为依据,填补了中国近代外交史研究的空白,并且成为了这一研究领域的新标准。他对琦善的一些论断即便在今天的研究水平下也是不能被推翻的。时人对他做翻案文章的理解与他的真实意图存在着差距。他的目的在于为中国抵抗帝国主义侵略找一条切实可行的道路,即运用外交手段求得和平,以现代化的方法来与帝国主义相抗衡。

Jiang Ting- fu made his Kishen studies on the base of Chinese and foreign files. His works filled the blanks and became a new standard in the studies of modem Chinese diplomatic history. Even for now,some of his ideas can not be overturnd. But at that time, people thought he tried to say good words for a bad and scared of England man which actually was not Jiang Ting -fu＇real purpose. He tried to find a feasible road to anti -imperialism. Here is his road that use diplomatic means to get a peaceful environment and then modernize China.
