裘廷梁与清末民初白话文运动

QIU Ting-liang and Vernacular Movement between End of Qing Dynasty and Beginning of the Republic of China

裘廷梁是戊戌维新时期的思想家,他提出了"白话为本"的理论,创办了《无锡白话报》,在"五四"白话文运动后期,坚持以白话文普及教育的观点,是清末民初白话文运动的先驱人物。

QIU Ting-liang was a thinker in the period of Wu Hsu Reform. He brought forward the theory of ＂Vernacular is the basis＂ and founded Wuxi Vernacular Newspaper. In the late May Fourth Vernacular Movement, he adhered to the view that education should gain ground by using the vernacular Chinese. He was a pioneer of the Vernacular Movement between the end of Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China.
