Method of Speckle Noise Suppression for Water Area Feature Extraction from SAR Imagery

本文介绍了合成孔径雷达（SAR）图像的特点，以SAR图像上水域的特征为基础，结合Lee—Sigma自适应滤波器的特点，提出了适合SAR图像水域特征提取的斑点噪声压缩方法，在试验中取得了良好的效果。

This paper introduces the characteristics of synthetic aperture radar （SAR） imagery. On the basis of water area feature of the SAR imagery, a method of speckle noise suppression, considering the characteristics of Lee- Sigma （a self- adaptive filter）, is proposed, which is suitable for water area feature extraction from SAR imagery. The experiment using the method gets a good result.
