艾米莉·迪金森“I started Early—Took my Dog—”一诗的精神分析

This paper attempts to analyze Emily Dickson＇s poem ＂I started Early-- Took my Dog in a psychoanalytic approach. In accordance with the assumptions such as unconscious, dream interpretation, tripartite model of human psyche by Freud and the desire theory of Lacan, the author deciphers the symbolic meaning of this poem and the desire of Emily Dickson. Furthermore, the author proves that for Emily Dickson desire for love coalesces into desire for death. Finally, the author states that the desire of Emily Dickson originates from the oppression of the American society to women in the nineteen century.
