Application of Medpor in correction of malar-zygomatic deficiency

目的:介绍高密度多孔聚乙烯(Medpor)在颧骨颧弓低平畸形矫正中的临床应用。方法:对49例先天性或外伤所致颧骨颧弓低平畸形以Medpor作为移植材料,在颧骨颧弓表面贴附充填。结果:随访6月～7年,49例颧部低平畸形均获得矫正,外形效果满意,无感染、假体外露等并发症。结论:Medpor置入矫正颧骨颧弓低平畸形,是一种安全有效的方法。

Objective To introduce the clinical application of the high-density porous polyethylene （Medpor） in correction of malar-zygomatic deficiency. Methods 49 cases with congenital or traumatic malar-zygomatic deficiency were received onlay malar augmentation using Medpor. Results During 6 months to 7 years of follow-up, deformities of malar-zygomatic deficiency were corrected in all the 49 cases,with satisfying results and no infection or implant being extruded, Conclusion Onlay malar-zygomatic augmentation using Medpor is a safe and effective procedure for correction of malar-zygomatic deficiency.
