The paper discussed the development and application of on - line monitoring device of electric power system dynamic process, whose hardware system uses multi -channel data -capturing cards, which improves greatly the competence of anti - interference and data - capturing, and whose software uses Linux operating system, which enhances the device＇s reliability and gives it stronger function. The practical cases showed that the device has higher reliability, which can provide great number of waves and data available to analyze different kinds of phenomena in electric power system dynamic process by analyzing the data captured.
