革命传统是无产阶级政党和人民群众在长期的革命斗争中形成的优良的思想、道德和作风,是千千万万爱国志士、革命先烈用鲜血和生命创造出来的宝贵的精神财富。加强高校的革命传统教育是培养建设具有中国特色的社会主义接班人的需要;是反对西方敌对势力对我国"和平演变"的需要;是加速实现我国社会主义现代化的需要。新的历史时期高校的革命传统教育必须与时代精神相结合,与当地的革命历史相结合,与学生的专业特点相结合。

Proletarian revolutionary tradition is the political parties and the masses of the people＇s fine ideological, moral and style which formed in the long-term revolutionary struggle, it＇s a valuable spiritual wealth which created by tens of thousands of patriots, revolutionary martyrswith their blood and lives. Reinforcement of the revolutionary tradition education in colleges and universities, is the need of training successors for building socialism with Chinese characteristics; of opposing to the Western hostile forces＇ ＂peaceful evolution＂to our country; of speeding up the realization of China＇s socialist modernization. The revolutionary tradition education in colleges and universities in new historical period must be combined with the spirit of the age, with the local integration of the revolutionary history, and with the professional characteristics of students.
