In view of the actual situation of property management in a housing estate, this paper discusses the advantages of using database and the ArcGIS Platform to realize housing estate management, describes the general framework of the Geographic Information System Software based on the VC6.0 object-oriented language, as well as the steps for its development and the design of database. Also, it gives a detailed explanation of the situation of demand analysis and key techniques of the database construction.
