崔莺莺和杜丽娘是我国古代戏曲文苑里的两朵奇葩。她们生于官宦人家,年轻貌美,才华横溢;她们又是同封建礼教相抗争的叛逆女性形象。由于她们所处的时代不同,她们追求爱情幸福的方式各异。崔莺莺对封建礼教的抗争表现的犹豫摇摆,杜丽娘则更坚决彻底。所以杜丽娘的形象更具有深刻的思想意义,是崔莺莺形象的发展。

Cut Yingying and Du Liniang are both very famous in the artistic and literature circles of chinese traditional opera. They were both born into distinguished and noble families; they were young, beautiful, and scintillescent. They were also the rebel feminine image which fought with the feudal ethics. They had their own ways of pursuing love in their different times. For fighting against the feudal ethics, Cut Yingying was hesitative, but Du Liniang was thorough. Therefore, Du Liniang＇s image has the profound thought significance, is the image development of Cut Yingying .
