语言作为文化的载体和社交中的重要工具,是文化的重要组成部分,同时,也反映了文化特征和社会生活的变化。本文以英汉颜色词"红"的对比研究内容,探讨颜色词的基本含义以及所代表的文化内涵及其在英汉语言中的翻译方法,以便揭示高效翻译颜色词的方法以及文化、语言、翻译之间的关系。

As the carrier of culture and an important tool in social communication, language is a significant part of culture and reflects changes of social life and cultural characteristics. This paper presents a preliminary study of the cultural connotation of Chi- nese color word ＂red＂ and the different methods to translate it into English. The author intends to find out some possible ways to translate the word effectively by analyzing various examples.
