A kind of multifunction meassuring device used in debugging of relay protection is introduced in this paper. The working principals of its hardware, the frame of its software and its anti-disturbance measures are illuminated in detail. This measuring device, which is based on 8098 single chip microprocessor, can change measurement range automatically. It is equipped with a mini-printer that can print Chinese characters, thus, the measuring device can not only gather and process such signals as voltage, current, frequency and so on, but also display and print them in demand.
