The design features of PT secondary, voltage circuit of early substation were described, the defects in which was analyzed. These defects caused some difficulties and potential safety hazard in daily maintenance of voltage circuit and technical reformations in substation. The advantages of using voltage extending panel were expounded emphatically by means of comparison. It is suggested that the men can consider using extending panel who would reform an old substation or construct a new substation.
