According to the working character and requirement of medium &small sized strip steel rolling mills, the development, performance, production and application conditions of material of sealing element for roll neck bearings are discussed. The result shows that under bad working environment of rolling mills, this material of sealing element has steady and reliable performance. long life and fine sealing effect, and it also has remarkable effect for lowering roll neck boring consumption.
