East Asia has been seriously affected by the United States financial crisis. In the real aspect, the decline of U. S. economy increased the slowdown risk of East Asian economies, and put great pressure on the East Asia＇s export--oriented development strategy. In the financial aspect, the East Asia faced a huge risk of dollar assets loss, and the volatility of economic fluctuation made the macro--economic management and regulation more difficult. The eruption of U. S. financial crisis shows again the urgent need of economic cooperation in East Asia.
