中国的京哈——京广铁路线、沿海经济带、乌鲁木齐至广州的铁路线和黄河、长江、珠江以及京包——包兰铁路线正好形成"三纵四横型"的经济增长布局。实行"三纵四横型"的经济增长布局,不仅有利于统筹城乡和区域发展,而且有利于生态环境的建设,实现可持续发展。因此,应该通过基础设施的建设,制度的创新,产业集群的形成,突破行政区划界限和区域内外部的合作等措施来促进三纵四横型的经济增长布局的尽快形成与发展。

In China, an economic growth area is formatted by JingHa-JingGuang Railway line, coastal economic belt, the Urumchi-Guangzhou railway line and Yellow River, Yangtze River, Pearl River and the Beijing-Baotou-Lanzhou Railway line, which is known as ＂the three vertical and four horizontal＂ economic growth layout. The ＂three vertical and four horizontal＂ economic growth formation is not only helpful to the development of urban-rural and regional economy, but also promoting to the construction of the ecological environment to achieve sustainable development of the economy. As a result, through such measures as infrastructure construction, system innovation, the formation of industrial clusters, and breaking the boundaries of administrative divisions, and by regional co-operation of the internal and external to promote the formation and development of the three vertical and four horizontal distribution of economic growth as soon as possible.
