情感是人类经验的重要组成部分,在语言中抽象情感是建立在人体感知基础上的隐喻表达。日常语言中用"火"词语来表达情感在英汉两种语言相当普遍,探究其意义产生和拓展的理据是揭示两种语言情感概念系统异同的方法。

As one of the most central and pervasive aspects of human experience, abstract human emotions are expressed metaphorically in language mainly based on human embodiment. The use of fire phrases in daily life to express human emotions is very common both in English and in Chinese. The exploration of the causes for the occurring and development of metaphors about ＂fire＂ is a way to understand the similarities and differences of emotional conceptual system in two languages.
