泉清堪洗砚,山秀可藏书——从楹联谈中国古代书院建筑的审美取向

Architectural Aesthetics of Literary Couplets in Shu-Yuan(Ancient Chinese College)

楹联是独具中国特色的文学形式。书院建筑是中国传统文化、教育与审美的综合载体,是具有典型中国传统审美情趣和文化内涵的艺术。文章从楹联的角度出发,探讨了中国古代书院的建筑审美取向。通过选址、空间布局、艺术特色和修饰手法四个方面,分析了书院建筑的审美特点:个人与自然的和谐统一、秩序与和顺的相辅相承、兼容与坚守的两相兼顾以及教育与艺术的完美结合。

As a special type of Chinese art,couplets were widely used in shu-yuan （ ancient Chinese college ） architecture, which represented Chinese culture,pedagogy, artistic sentiment and architectural aesthetics. By discussing couplets,this paper explored the main features of architectural aesthetics and artistic value of shu-yuan. After analyzing four aspects of shu-yuan design, such as site selection, spacial layout, art feature and embellishing means, it is suggested that the primary characteristics of architectural aesthetics of shu-yuan is the harmonious integration of artificiality and nature, order and mixing, unity and specialty, and pedagogy and art.
