Reflections on Establishing Computer-based Autonomous Learning Center of College English

基于计算机的大学英语自主学习中心能够为学生提供良好的自主学习环境和条件,学生在自主学习中心可利用因特网和校园网英语自主学习教学资源库进行英语自主学习,这既可调动学生自主学习的积极性和能动性,培养他们的自主学习能力,又能够有效地帮助他们提高英语综合应用能力。

The Computer-based Autonomous College English Learning Center can provide students with favorable environment and facilities for their autonomous English learning and students can conduct their self-directed learning in the center through Internet and the Teaching Resources for Autonomous Learning on the Campus Network. It can also mobilize students＇ autonomous English-learning initiative and foster their learning ability while helping them improve their ability to use English in an all-round way. In this paper, the author expounds the views on the necessity of establishing College English Autonomous Learning Center and providing Teaching Resources for Self-access Learning on Campus Network as well as the strategies of carrying out autonomic learning activities.
