Vitality and Harmony as Cornerstones for the Construction of a Harmonious Society——On the Coordination of Impetus and Balance Mechanisms in Social Development

当今中国社会的主题,从政治哲学视域看,主要是社会活力与社会和谐问题。社会领域存在的主要问题一是与社会活力有关,即公民社会不成熟;二是与社会和谐有关,即存在着某些社会不公平、不和谐的现象。活力与和谐无疑是构建和谐社会的两块重要基石,构建和谐社会根本上就是要形成活力与和谐相互协调、有机统一的社会运行机制。

Social vitality and harmony are two major concerns for the present Chinese society, from the perspective of political philosophy. Issues to be solved in these two fields are as follows ： with regards to vitality, civil society is immature; with regards to harmony, disharmony and unfaimess still exist. Vitality and harmony are undoubtedly two important cornerstones for the construction of a harmonious society. Building a harmonious society depends on a social operating mechanism with coordination and unity between vitality and harmony.
