Language is not only an objective mass medium, but also a reflection of social ideology. Nominalization is one of the language forms which can convey ideology effectively. Based on the theories of critical linguistics ,this paper conducts a critical analysis of the English nominalization to reveal the deep meaning of discourses and cultivate the people＇s critical consciousness.
