On Non-verbal Communication and Its Application in English Teaching

阐述非言语交际的内涵及其重要性,探讨非言语交际在英语教学中的应用,以期提高教学效果和学生的实际交际能力。

This paper discusses types of non-verbal communication and its application in English teaching. The literature survey shows that a large proportion of message in face-to-face communication is conveyed through non-verbal means. Accordingly,attention should be given to the application of non-verbal communication in the English teaching so as to improve the practical communication abilities of students.
