教育需要是个人对知识、能力和良好德性的需要,社会对合格公民和专业人才的需要。教育需要既在满足中激励和强化,又在激励和强化中满足。不仅德智体等层面的教育需要、内在与外在教育需要、社会和个人教育需要、作为目的和手段的教育需要、形成人与形成人才的教育需要、对教育的普遍需要和专门需要、现实和长远需要、继承和创新需要之间有复杂关系,而且复杂的教育需要与复杂的物质和精神需要之间构成更加复杂的关系。认识和处理好这些复杂关系对满足、激励和引导人的教育需要,构建合理性的教育需要,实现教育目的,提升教育价值,提高人的素质和促进社会发展都有重要意义。

Educational need includes the individual＇s need for knowledge, ability and good conduct and the society＇ s need for qualified citizens and professional workers. Educational need is to be inspired and intensified as it is being satisfied and is also to be satisfied as it is being inspired and intensified. There are complex relations between moral, intellectual and physical, internal and external, social and individual, purposeful and instrumental, man-forming and worker-forming , universal and special, realistic and long-run, and succeeding and innovating ed- ucational needs, and even more complex relation between complex educational needs and complex material and spiritual needs. So a proper knowledge and treatment of these complex relations is of considerable importance to sat＇ isfying, inspiring and guiding people＇ s educational needs to develop reasonable educational demand to improve the quality of men and promote social development.
