The Historical Ideas on Global Development and the Enlargement of the Research Range on Chinese Historical Geography

近年来,中国历史地理学研究范围不断扩大:时间范围上下延伸;空间范围不断拓宽;专业领域不断分化整合;学科问题不断强化。关于中国历史地理研究空间范围的拓展,一方面应具有全球观念,以全球史观为指导,研究全球历史地理问题,重视跨国家、跨民族、跨地区历史地理研究与中外历史地理比较研究,在全球历史背景下研究中国历史地理问题;另一方面应保持区域意识,探讨历史地理问题的区域性表现及其历史变迁过程,并寻求全球性与区域性的内在统一。

In recent years, the research range on Chinese historical geography has been enlarged continuously： the time range has been widened; the subject fields have been divided and integrated; the discipline theory has been strengthened. With the enlargement of the space scope on Chinese historical geography, on the one hand, we should have global ideas about global historical geography and carry out it in Chinese historical geography; on the other hand, we should maintain the regional consciousness of Chinese historical geography and seek the inherent unity between the global character and the regional character.
