摘要
五四新文化运动包含两大相互依存的思想解放取向:一是"对传统求解放";二是"对西方求解放"。但长期以来,人们只强调这场新文化运动对国人思想的解放,而"对西方求解放"则关注甚少,忽视了这一点,对于"五四"思想解放的理解则是不全面的。从总体上看,国人"对西方求解放"的新构想,主要呈现两种范式:一是呼吁打破对西方的盲从,重新审视中西文化关系;二是服膺马克思主义和转而"以俄为师"。五四新文化运动作为一场思想解放运动,在其展开的历史过程中,正是"对传统求解放"与"对西方求解放"这二者之间的张力与博击,构成了不断推进这场思想解放运动深入发展的内驱力。在今天,理性地保持二者之间的此种张力与博击,仍为促进国人思想解放和永葆思想活力所必需。
During the New Cultural Movement of the May 4th in 1919 there are two emancipations: Chinese tradition and Western thoughts. However, the emancipation of the Western thoughts has been ignored for long, so it is not complete to comprehend the May 4th as a whole. Generally speaking, there are two paradigms to emancipate the Western thoughts. One is that the western thoughts are not followed blindly. The other is that we should obey Marxism and then take "Russia as our guider". Now we should have this tension so as to promote the emancipation of the mind.
