“别种”辨义

On Ethnological Term "Biezhong"

"别种"是民族史研究中经常会遇到的一个词,能否对它正确理解,对判定一个民族的族属问题至关重要。它有"分出的种"、"不同的种"两个含义。前者主要体现属种关系和血缘关系,后者主要体现并列关系和地缘关系。在应用中,还有用"种"替代"别种"的现象。

“Biezhong” is a term met in ethnological research very frequently. Whether understanding exactly or not will be very important for us to differentiate and analysediscriminate ethical ascription of a folk. Two meanings “divided race” and “different race”are included. The first meaning incarnates inclusive relationship and kin, the other incarnates parallel relationship and georelationship. During the application, the word “Zhong” sometimes substitutes the word “Biezhong”.
