铝－塑复合管是由工业纯铝或铝合金与聚乙烯塑料复合而成的一种高新技术产品，是一类可替代钢管、铜管、铝管的新型管材，集铝与塑料的优点于一体，具有一系列的特点：坚硬且柔性高，耐压耐腐蚀，安全卫生，重量轻，安装方便，使用期限长，价格适中，不渗氧等。铝－塑管是在高度自动化的生产线上生产的。我国已建成３条铝－塑管生产线，还有十六七条生产线在建与拟建，如果在１９９９年上半年都建成的话，全国的总生产能力将达１．２×１０８ｍ／ａ，而同年的市场需求量约４５×１０６ｍ。
