摘要
在模型简化、图像处理和分析、模式识别以及计算机视觉等应用中常常涉及到数字曲线的多边形逼近问题。对该问题的国内外研究成果进行了较为系统地介绍,对一些典型算法的优缺点进行了分析,对相关技术的发展进行了展望。
In many fields, such as mesh model simplification, image processing and analysis, pattern recognition and computer vision, the applications of polygonal approximation for digitized curves are usually involved. In this paper, the polygonal approximation techniques are detailed, and the typical methods are analyzed. The future work in the field is also discussed in the end.
