the Labor Party and the trade unions overall maintained a harmonious relation with close cooperation and mutual support during the age of Attlee government. The policies of the Labor Party had a distinct consideration on the trade unions and took seriously to preserve and enhance the status of the trade unions in social life. The formational cause of the situation had the close cooperation between the Labor Party and the trade unions in labor movement since the 1930s, the mutual establishment of appropriate policies and attitudes and the structural characteristic of the British voter. The relation of close cooperation between the Labor Party and the trade unions had a double aspect to the Labor Party. It not only helped the Labor Party to obtain the huge ruling achievements, but also was a major obstacle to the development and the growth of the Labor Party.
