Charles Dickens paid much attention to the moral education of the children during his life. In his novels he created many orphan characters who had different life experiences and took up different ways in their makings of a man, and at the same time he put forth in line with his own concept of moral value a basic moral requirement for the orphans to follow, set up a moral model for them to learn from and made up an environment full of contradictory moral ideas and standards to develop their cognitive ability of the good and the evil, which showed the great power of moral education and fully displayed his own ideas about it.
