摘要
隐喻是人类思维的一种方式。英语中由隐喻获得的词汇占了绝大多数。隐喻理论应用到英语词汇教学是促进英语教学的需要。从基本范畴词汇、多义词、跨文化比较三个方面讨论认知语言学中隐喻理论在英语词汇教学的应用。
Metaphor is one of mode of human thinking and the vocabularies coming from metaphors account for the majority. The application of metaphorical theory to English lexical teaching is demanded by English teaching. The paper discusses the application of metaphorical theory in cognitive linguistics to English lexical teaching from the perspective of basic vabularies, polymeaning words and crosscuhural aspect.
