当前和谐社会建设中,高等教育公平是重点和难点。高等院校要为和谐社会培养高素质人才,则需要给予所有社会成员平等竞争的机会,所以只有实现了高等教育公平,社会才能公平,社会经济才能持续地发展,构建和谐社会才会有保障。

Higher education justice is the focal and difficult point in current construction of harmonious society. Equal competitive opportunities should be given to all social members if colleges and universities are demanded to train high quality personnel. So only with equal higher education equality can society be equal, can society and economy achieve sustainable development and can harmonious society construction be guaranteed.
