This paper discusses the function of innovative thinking in the formation and development of library, and expatiates that the development and change of library can not leave the innovative thinking. Librarians constantly innovate the thought in the wake of the pace of the epoch, and manage the advanced technology and scientific method in order to creat a new era of the modem library, at the same time, the application of innovative thinking points out the right direction for the development of the future of library.
